Florida Supervisors of Elections to Award Scholarships

The Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) will offer four $1,200 scholarships for 2023 to college students.

Applicants must be registered Florida voters and have lived in the state for at least the two preceding years. Applicants must be either a Political Science, Public Admin­istration, Business Administration, or Journalism/Mass Communication major, and be at least a junior in college. Students must be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in an accredited college or university in Florida, and have at least a “C” average for the previous year.

Applications must be submitted to the elections office of the county in which the applicant is registered to vote. Each county will select one finalist to send to the FSE Scholarship Committee for consideration.

Scholarship applications must be received by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 10, 2023 in the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections Office, 600 301 Blvd W, Ste 108, Bradenton. Letters of recommendation MUST accompany the application or be received by the deadline. 

The Manatee County Supervisor of Elections will review all applications, interview students, and select one finalist. That student's application, with our written recommendation and verification of voter registration, will be forwarded to the FSE Scholarship Committee. The Committee will select four (4) scholarship winners from the finalists.
